How we collect, use, and protect your information — written plainly, because a security company should hold itself to the standard it sells.
Last updated: July 2026. This policy explains what information Security Assured collects, why, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email contact@securityassured.ca.
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, work email, company, and the details you share when you contact us or request an assessment. We also collect limited technical data (like IP address and browser type) automatically when you visit our site, to keep it secure and understand how it's used.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not serve third-party advertising.
To respond to your inquiries and deliver the services you request; to improve our website and offerings; to meet legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations; and to protect the security and integrity of our systems.
Where we handle personal health information on behalf of a client, we do so under that client's direction and in alignment with PHIPA and applicable privacy law.
We apply the same security discipline to our own data that we bring to clients: access controls, encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate, continuous monitoring, and least-privilege access. No system is perfectly secure, but we hold ourselves to the standard we advise.
We share information only with service providers who help us operate (under confidentiality obligations), when required by law, or with your consent. We remain independent — we validate and quantify risk; we do not sell insurance or resell your data.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and contractual limits. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@securityassured.ca. If you're in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (such as under PIPEDA), those rights apply.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to meet legal obligations, or to resolve disputes — then we securely delete or anonymize it.
We may update this policy as our practices or the law evolve. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised date. Continued use of our site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
